Jeffrey Marc Buchman's work with young singers has been extensive. In its first iteration, this groundbreaking and enormously successful arena event included over 1,200 performers from opera, symphony, ballet and broadway. Buchman also serves as Artistic Director of "LiveArts" produced by the Grand Rapids Symphony. In contemporary opera, he has recently created productions of As One (Laura Kaminsky) for Hawaii Opera Theatre and Opera Colorado, No Exit (Andy Vores) for Florida Grand Opera, 27 (Ricky Ian Gordon) for Michigan Opera Theatre, Ainadamar for the University of Miami Frost School of Music, and three separate world-premieres by composer Carson Kievman - Tesla, Intelligent Systems and Fairy Tales: Songs of the Dandelion Woman.
